L'Est Underground présente:
Double Date With Death (lofi garage, Montréal) + Mr Pelican (Nancy)
Double Date With Date
As a continuation of Daniel Johnston’s raw artistic vision and his lo-fi signature sound, Double Date With Death is celebrated in the Montreal underground. No question here: the freaky, unpredictable band knows how to set the stage on fire.
Heir of the Sacto’s dirty sound coming straight out of the 80’s, heir of the speed and harshness that could be found in the American suburbs mid-70's punk scene (Gun Club...), the power trio is also a contemporary of Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and others iconic groups from well-known Californian “new garage explosion”.
