LAPIS LAZULI (Canterbury, Royaume-Uni)

" - Owen Davies, DPRP

After being Damo Suzuki's backing band and playing a number of storming festival shows including Celebration Days (Cernoy, FR), 2019 was a busy year for LL. In the past they have supported Gong, Acid Mothers Temple, Alice Cooper and Syd Arthur.
Their sound is eclectic, strange. Technical with feeling, funky but with crazy time signatures ... funny but serious ... wild but controlled. It has been called Prog, Funk, Math, Psychedelic by some ......
An album of improvised music release in January 2020 has followed 5 other composed studio albums spanning nearly 10 years where LL have begun to be regarded as the heirs of the Canterbury sound (a niche prog style from the 70's and onward)
Lapis invite you to join them on this short tour in France where they play in Troyes, Nancy and Nantes.
